Life Cycle Loans

Family Continuity Loans: (Up to $15,000)

  • Adoptions – Get help with the costs of international or domestic adoptions. Loans are available to individuals or couples.
  • Fertility – Fertility treatments can be expensive. Get help with the costs of fertility treatments, including IVF (in vitro fertilization), IUI (intrauterine insemination), cryopreservation (freezing of eggs, sperm, or embryos), embryo adoption, or surrogacy. May also cover diagnostic testing.  Loans are available to individuals or couples.

Note: For Family Continuity Loans, parent(s) are required to indicate on the application that they intend to raise their child(ren) Jewish.

Jewish Education Loans: (Up to $5,000)

These loans make it possible for children to experience and learn about the Jewish experience and traditions. Costs of Jewish summer camp, preschool, or day school may be eligible.

Life Cycle Loans: (Up to $5,000)

These loans make it possible for couples or families to hold modest celebrations and remembrances, in keeping with Jewish tradition.

  • Get help with the costs of celebrating a festive occasion such as a wedding, a brit milah, a bar/bat mitzvah or the expenses of b’nai mitzvah study and preparation.
  • Loans can also assist with burial or funeral expenses for a loved one.

At Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego, we rely on guarantors instead of collateral to secure your loan. A guarantor is someone who can guarantee to pay back the loan if you do not. A guarantor is at least 25 years old, lives in California and has a credit score of 670 or better. A friend, family member or employer are examples of a guarantor.
