Helping Dreams Come True With an Education Loan

Ofek is an industrious undergraduate student studying engineering at a San Diego university. He interns at a construction company while attending school full time and also holds leadership roles for several Jewish organizations on campus. Ofek approached Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego for an Education Loan after hearing about our organization from his campus Hillel. He had received the prestigious Prebys scholarship, but it only covered four years of school. His program in mechanical engineering required him to do a fifth year. Ofek managed to pay his tuition but needed assistance covering his living expenses.  He approached HFLSD for an interest-free loan and HFLSD was able to provide him with the funds necessary to meet his monthly expenses while focusing on his education and future career. Ofek was so grateful for the support and impressed with the process and the program, that he offered to be a campus ambassador for HFLSD—“So many Jewish students could benefit from HFLSD loans if they knew about them. The process was easy and HFLSD personnel was so helpful. I will definitely be telling my friends on campus about HFLSD!”
