Helping Dreams Comes True with a Personal Needs Loan

As an active member of the San Diego Jewish community, Jacquie was referred to Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego by Jewish Family Services. She requested a Personal Needs loan to help cover the cost of car repairs, as she used her savings during the height of the pandemic. Her car is essential for the work that she does and she has been borrowing a friend’s car to be able to continue working. With an interest-free loan from HFLSD she will be able to continue working and maintain her financial independence. Jacquie explains that she has “been up and down since the pandemic. Before Covid I had money in the bank and did not need any help. I have been living on my savings and now need some assistance as I was not prepared to have to pay for extensive car repairs. I like working my own schedule and will be able to start doing Lyft again once my car is fixed. I am grateful for the community I have and the ability to apply for and receive this loan.”
